The deal, still subject to route\u00a0approval, would represent Canada\u2019s first dedicated freighter flights to Latin America.\u00a0<br \/>\nOnce the deal is set, Cargojet would ACMI-lease and operate 767-300Fs aircraft on Air Canada Cargo\u2019s behalf and serve routes between Toronto and destinations in Latin America and Europe. The 52-tonne-capacity aircraft will initially serve routes between Toronto and the following destinations, beginning June 9:<\/p>\n<p>Bogota, Colombia and Lima, Peru via Atlanta, GA<br \/>\nMexico City via Dallas\/Fort Worth, TX.<\/p>\n<p>Service is expected to expand during the second half of 2016, with freighter flights between Canada and Europe, also ex-Toronto. No details have been released regarding the specifics or frequency of the European destinations or the total number of aircraft involved in the deal. A spokesperson for Cargojet added that Cargojet currently operates eight 767-300Fs, primarily for its domestic Canadian overnight network, \u201cand all of these aircraft are available during the day and on weekends.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cWorking with Cargojet, we are able to leverage and build upon Air Canada\u2019s extensive North American and international networks,\u201d said\u00a0Lise-Marie Turpin, vice president of Air Canada Cargo.<br \/>\nAjay K.
