An An-124-100\/RM aircraft visited Brazil\u2019s RIOgale\u00e3o Cargo terminal at the Tom Jobim International Airport with a 32-ton payload last week.
\nThe freighter delivered a telescopic access bridge, sent from Shanghai, with the dispatch and handling operations lasting about eight hours. The Antonov\u2019s specialized cargo was more than 34 meters long, 4.2 meters high and 2.7 meters wide.
\nThe 4,000-meter-long runway at RIOgale\u00e3o is the longest in Brazil, allowing for the landing of the enormous An-124. The cargo facility, which recently completed a US$8.8 million infrastructure overhaul, can accommodate nine aircraft at once and can operate without takeoff restrictions, 24 hours a day.
