Kuehne + Nagel has opened a 164,000-square-foot logistics hub in west Singapore, located near the island nation\u2019s pharmaceutical and healthcare centers, major manufacturers and ports. The new facility, which will be large enough to serve K+N\u2019s clients in the ASEAN countries, also provides 150,000 square feet of warehousing space.
\nThe new facility \u2013 the first of its kind in Singapore for K+N \u2013 will not only be responsible for standard freight and warehousing services, but will also become a regional hub for high-tech, industrial activities, pharmaceutical and healthcare customers.
\nThe new facility will include a logistics learning center, which will focus on talent development, training and succession planning to support business growth. Over many years, K+N has fostered a close cooperation with the Singapore economic development board, particularly in the areas of education and innovation.
