Qatar Airways launched a four-times-weekly route between Doha and Windhoek, Namibia, this week that will add 92 tonnes of bellyhold capacity per week on board the carrier’s 787 passenger aircraft.
While the lion’s share of Namibian exports reach only as far as neighboring countries such as South Africa and Botswana, Europe and North American markets are growing in importance as well. Namibia is also a major diamond exporter.
